Issue: Password Authentication Not Working for Internal Users

Resolved

Hello,

We tried to set up a simple authentication policy for standard internal users using password authentication on the user portal.

Implementation steps followed:

  1. Created a password policy scoped to identity type internal.

  2. Created an authentication module using password as authentication type.

  3. Created an authentication mechanism based on the module, scoped to internal users.

  4. Created an internal user identity.

  5. Password is active in the Security tab of the identity.

  6. Generated a password for the identity.

Problem:
When testing authentication, users encounter an error or a blank page after logging in.

We also noticed via API that the identity shows "loginTasks": ["PASSWORD_CHANGE_REQUESTED"].

Is there any missing configuration? How can we make the password authentication work properly?

Additionally, how can we export authentication modules and mechanisms to IntelliJ?

Regards,

Hassan
