Deletion of resources

Resolved

Hello,

We would like to delete resource-type objects via the user portal.

What is Memority's policy on deleting these objects?

For identity-type objects, the policy is to suspend the objects and let the lifecycle policy delete the identity.

However, for resource-type objects, we would like to know what Memority's recommendation is.

Thank you in advance.

Hello,

The management of resource deletion follows a similar path to that of identity deletion with a deactivation phase. This deactivation is managed by the lifecycle policy resource-common-lifeCycle-lifeCyclePolicy, which calls the rule lifeCycle-common-rule. The rule used for resources is identical to that applied to identities. In fact, this rule goes further, as it applies to all KIND objects (Resource, Identity, Role, Role Publication, Organization, and SOD).

Once deactivation is complete, resource deletion is triggered by the resource-common-lifeCycleDelete-job object, which uses the lifeCycle-delete-rule common to the different KIND objects.

In summary, all objects linked to Memority follow a lifecycle.

Thank you
